Opportunities to Sing! The Choirs at First Baptist Clemson
Chancel Choir (for adults) – leads in congregational worship each Sunday morning and meets for rehearsals on Wednesday evenings. This group seeks to be worship leaders, enabling and encouraging those in attendance to engage in worship. Click here to go to the Chancel Choir page.
Children’s Choir – Our Children’s Choir, grades 1-5, lead periodically in Sunday worship, but our goal is for children to know God through music, become aware of their musical gifts, and have opportunities to use their newfound gifts for God.
Opportunities to Play! Instrumental Ensembles at First Baptist Clemson
FBC Instrumental Ensemble – The FBC Instrumental Ensemble plays for worship each Sunday morning during the school year (Fall Semester and Spring Semester). This group of youth and adults rehearse on Sundays at 9:00am to prepare for worship leadership through accompanying congregation song, choral groups, and playing instrumental songs. Handbells – The handbell ensemble plays periodically for Sunday worship. Advanced Bells (Adults) – Sundays @ 6:30pm.
When in our music God is glorified, and adoration leaves no room for pride, it is as though the whole creation cried, “Alleluia!”
How often, making music, we have found a new dimension in the world of sound, as worship moved us to a more profound Alleluia!
So has the Church, in liturgy and song, in faith and love, through centuries of wrong, borne witness to the truth in every tongue: Alleluia!
And did not Jesus sing a psalm that night when utmost evil strove against the Light? Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight: Alleluia!
Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise! And may God give us faith to sing always: Alleluia!
